With four years as a business broker and a decade in the banking industry, I’ve developed a deep understanding of how financial strategy and deal structuring intersect to create successful outcomes.
Today, as part of the SVN North Star team, I focus on guiding business owners and investors through complex transactions—whether it’s selling a business, acquiring a new venture, or planning a strategic exit. I approach every client relationship with care, clarity, and commitment, ensuring that each step of the process aligns with their long-term goals.

​​I’m fortunate to share life with my amazing wife, Jill. Together, we've raised four wonderful daughters who are now off pursuing exciting careers and building lives of their own. Watching them grow into strong, independent women has been one of the greatest joys of my life.

When we're not working, Jill and I love to make the most of our time together. We enjoy traveling—whether it's discovering new places or returning to our favorite spots—playing golf and tennis, and spending quality time with close friends. Whether it's a quiet evening at home or an active weekend outdoors, we appreciate the balance and joy these moments bring to our lives.

​My journey in business began long before I ventured into the world of real estate. After earning my MBA from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois, I immersed myself in the private sector, dedicating over a decade to banking and four years to business brokering. Those years taught me more than just industry insights—they shaped my understanding of how businesses grow, how owners think, and how financial decisions impact long-term success.
This foundation set the stage for a new chapter in my career: teaching and consulting at Gies. For over 24 years, I’ve had the privilege of mentoring more than 6,000 students and leading over 1,500 client projects. From partnering with Fortune 500 companies to guiding mid-sized firms and family-owned businesses, I've gained invaluable experience navigating diverse goals, challenges, and success stories.
What’s remained consistent throughout is my focus on people. Whether helping a company through a major transition or guiding an investor in a commercial business transaction, I believe in showing up with integrity, listening attentively, and creating solutions that deliver long-lasting value.
Today, while my focus is on business brokering and real estate transactions, my mission remains unchanged: helping others achieve success by leveraging my experience and passion for guiding strategic decisions.
